Would you buy a television without knowing what make it was?
Would you buy a television without knowing what make it was? Well I guess with own brands and lesser known brands you buy without knowing who actually put the TV together, but would you buy it without knowing what the logo on the front said?
I have just had an email from Mighty Deals that is inviting me to do exactly that. They are offering to sell me a 32 inch HD ready TV for £172 but nowhere in the email or on the web page it links to can I see a brand mentioned.
Now they do give a list of specifications which I suspect have just been copied and pasted. Using these and a search engine it was pretty straightforward to find a television whose specs were so similar that I would be very surprised if I had not worked out what it was, but why should I have to do that?
A quick check on the web sites of retailers such as Tesco Direct, Argos and Currys brings up similarly specified 32″ TVs for less money than Mighty Deals are asking for their anoymous television, and those retailers are quite happy to tell me what brands those TV sets are.
