Emergency Phone Charger – Don’t get caught with a dead phone/tablet
‘It’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good‘ goes the old maritime saying and online retailer 7 Day Shop have spotted a way to apply it to the current air travel regulations.
7 Day Shop sent me an email earlier today saying:
We’ve just heard that airport security checks will now require that all electronic devices are able to power on before you are allowed on board.
What if your phone or tablet battery runs out of power pre-flight?
The 7dayshop.com Emergency PowerBank will instantly power and charge mobile phones, tablets, Kindles, iPad minis, iPhones as well as many other USB powered devices. This gadget is ideal for holiday, travel any long journeys, and it can power 2 devices simultaneously.
What they were promoting was their 4000mAh PowerBank USB Emergency Phone Charger.
This neat looking unit is fitted with a high capacity Li-poly rechargeable battery.
How it works is that you charge the unit up using a USB lead connected to a computer or a USB mains charger, the four LED display shows the current charge state. Once charged you keep the emergency charger handy, and when needed it it simply connects to your mobile phone or tablet computer to charge it up using the supplied USB or Apple 30 pin leads.
The portable emergency charger is ideal for campers, festival goers, or anyone who might be caught were they do not have access to a mains charger.
