The Co-op gets in on own brand Pay-As-You-Go SIM cards

Wandering around a local Co-operative supermarket I noticed a display of ‘The Co-operative Mobile’ branded Pay As You Go SIM cards.

These SIM cards supplied by ‘The Phone Co-op‘ were priced at 99p but they are available to order free on ‘The Co-operative Mobile‘ web site. They offer a choice of SIM types, either a standard size SIM card that can be converted to a Micro-SIM or a Nano-SIM as used in the iPhone5. They say you can have up to five SIM cards per household and calls to other Co-operative mobile numbers are at a reduced rate.

The Co-operative Mobile are using the EE – Everything Everywhere network to carry the calls so network coverage should be comprehensive.
